Filomena

Filomena is a family music project that brings Catalan tradition to children, families and schools through an interactive and festive show. With popular songs and original compositions, the group combines music, play and pedagogy, making popular culture come alive with humor, rhythm and joy.

The project features a first-class artistic team that stands out for its youth: Gemma Gonzalez (vocals and guitar), Laia Glück (gralla and vocals), Lola Ybran (double bass, flabiol and vocals), Marta Rosselló (violin and vocals), Martí Fleta (drums, percussion and vocals) and Raquel Jacho (diatonic accordion and vocals). In addition, the album includes the outstanding participation of Arnau Tordera (Obeses) in composition, arrangements and guitar, and of El Pony Pisador, adding their creative stamp to some of the lyrics.

A wide range of other collaborators contribute traditional sounds such as the tarota, the tenora, the hurdy-gurdy, the fiscorn, the trombone, the trumpet, the sac de gemecs and the dolçaina, expanding Filomena’s musical universe and creating a rich and vibrant repertoire with which Filomena not only recovers Catalan musical heritage, but also makes it alive and accessible, creating a space where children learn, participate and have a great time. With this project, tradition becomes celebration, music becomes learning, and the fun never ends. Each concert and each song is an opportunity to enjoy, dance, sing and discover Catalan cultural richness as a family. With Filomena and 'TRA TRA TRO', traditional music becomes spectacle, humor, learning and, above all, endless celebration!
